For those of you who know
I'm a little crazy about animals. I cant walk into the pound and leave without picking up another pet. . .great example is the new dog Beans. I watch Animal Planet. Animal Cops is one of my favorite shows and I often feel upset when i see dogs with
embedded collars, abused, and neglected. Yeah a bit of a bleeding heart. I just cant believe how people can treat their animals that way.
When we picked up Beans from the shelter he was
extremely underweight and very sickly looking. (Hence bleeding heart and new dog in the house.) Over the past few weeks he has started to look great and I thought we were taking such great care of him. Well just the other day, he started coughing and making some weird
wheezing. I
didn't think much of it because Boston
Terriers have breathing problems and
I've read that most sounds like that are fairly normal. The sounds keep going on and were
becoming more frequent, like at least 2-3 times an hour. Yesterday I told
Steve that if Beans
didn't sound better by
Friday I would take him to the vet.
Tonight I was playing with him. I grabbed his collar and guess what. . . . .Yeah it was SUPER tight, like so tight I
couldn't get my fingers under it. Beans has put on a few pounds since the shelter days and forgetful me forgot to adjust the collar. I should be on Animal Cops. I am a bad pet owner and so not perfect.
