Strong baby and a cool day in the desert

Eli has been able to hold his head up for weeks and considering he is only weeks old that's pretty good. Its fun to now see him have a bit more control and he can actually look around when holding up his head.

Super cute side profile. This picture makes me laugh, look hard at his hair. Oh poor fuzzy baby hair.

Today was also a little cool. A nice rainstorm rolled in and so i thought it was perfect weather to bust out that baby hoodie.

Seven weeks

Today Eli is seven weeks. He is growing so big and does two thing really well. . . wiggle and smile.

Now I need to do better with keeping my camera close at hand to catch the BIG smiles.

Measure twice cut once

When we found out that we were going to adopt Eli we were so excited to get a nursery done. In the rush to finish before he came I WAY undercut the curtains. Like almost a whole foot.

I know super ugly. So today when Eli was down for his nap I decided to fix them.

Now a little longer then I would like but so much better then the ugly high water curtains.

I know, curtains are not what you like to see on the blog so here is a little Eli love for the day. This was his hair after the nap. His hair just makes me giggle.

Ah, finally fell asleep. Now is my nap time.

Nap Time

This afternoon I was lucky enough to get to take a nap. I haven't been feeling well and Steve told me to take two aspirin and go lay down for a bit. I wasn't going to argue. When I woke this is how I found my two boys. It made me realize that although I think Eli is getting so big, really he is still just a little dude.

Thanks a bundle Great-grandma Jean for the swing. Eli loves it and I love that i was finally able to fold laundry.

Growing big and strong

Today Eli had a doctors appointment. The doc said he was looking great. He now weighs in at 9 pounds 8oz. Its so sad he is almost out of his newborn clothes but I'm glad he is growing and looks great.
