Summer Game

Our dear families have been battling freezing cold and snow this spring. We however have had the luxury of 100+ degree weather and no rain for nearly 5 months. It's hot and dry. So to keep the kid cool we play the super awesome summer game . . . bobbing for strawberries. I know you all wish you could be here to join in. (Okay, I'll stop, I'm starting to feel a little white trash.)

At the Farm

We took a trip up to Utah last week to celebrate the beginning of summer and Eli's first birthday. The best part of the trip was the visit to Thanksgiving Point. Eli was a big fan of the animals.

The donkey was pretty cool until he tried to bite Eli.

The chickens were pretty cool until they squawked.

The horse ride was pretty cool. Until we had to do it again. . .


and again in the freezing cold.

After we got back from the farm Grammie was talking to Eli. She was asking him if he had fun at the farm. He turned to her and as clear as day said, "horse." Looks like i know where we will be going when we visit Utah again.

Happy Birthday Baby!

I cant believe my little boy is one! And I really cant believe that it took me almost a month to post his birthday pictures! It was an evening full of family, great friends, pizza, cake smashing and a little bit of Eli throw-up. Overall a very successful birthday party.

Motherhood

No hair

Was looking through old photos today. I came across this photo and it really made me laugh. At about 6 months this kid had NO hair. A very big difference from the photo of him eating chocolate. That photo it almost looks like his is wearing a toupee.

Chocolate

The chocolate Easter bunny was a huge success.

Barpron

My mom sent me a link to make Eli a new bib/apron. Super cute so of course I had to spend the afternoon making one. Eli even helped pick out the fabric.


And as much as i tried to get a perfect/cute shot of Eli in his new bapron this was what most of the pictures ended up looking like. Baby butt, this kid will just NOT hold still.

And on an unrelated note he took his first steps today. They were only a few to daddy but walking here we come!
